The Dispatcher of the Year
award is given to the dispatcher who has carried out their duties in an exemplary fashion. We give a numerical score
for attendance, commendations, letters of appreciation, following procedures and General Orders, customer service and quality
assurance, years of service, training accomplishments and hours and several other categories. These scores are added
up and the Dispatcher of the Year is the individual with the highest numeric score overall.
The Quality Assurance Top Gun Award is determined by the annual average score of the quality
assurance scores given to each dispatcher each month for their handling of police, fire, and medical calls. Our
Quality Assurance process includes random evaluation of calls received involving police, fire and medical situations.
The evaluations are conducted each month.
